At a lively maiden Homowo Kpoikpoi feast organized by the Queenmother and the people of Akporman in the Abokobi municipality, there was much celebration with eating and dancing.

Speaking at the event, the Queenmother of Akporman, Manye Naa Atswei Kweiley III, issued a strong caution to electorates, urging them to avoid electoral violence. She emphasized that neither the NDC nor the NPP is greater than Ghana, and what the nation desires most is peace.

She advised Ghanaians to cast their votes peacefully and leave the polling centers promptly, returning only after the official declaration of results by the Electoral Commission. Manye Naa Kweiley III further stressed the need for peaceful coexistence during and after the upcoming December 7th general elections, emphasizing that Ghana cannot afford to lose a single life in the electoral process.

Additionally, the Queenmother appealed to parents to take responsibility for their children, especially girls, to prevent unwanted teenage pregnancies that could disrupt their education. She encouraged the youth, particularly young girls, to focus on their studies and avoid adopting negative Western cultural influences that could jeopardize their future.

She also reminded parents of the saying, "If you educate a woman, you educate a nation," urging them to invest more in their children’s education.

Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Candidate for Dome Kwabenya, Ambassador Aaron Mike Oquaye Jnr, paid homage to Manye and the people of Akporman as they marked their maiden Homowo celebration, wishing them "Afi oo Afi."

He urged the electorate to vote massively for himself and H.E. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming general elections, noting that the NPP government has done much for the people of Dome Kwabenya constituency. He added that the party aims to secure 90% of the total vote count in the December 7th polls.
